Thy Refuge dedicates itself to make a difference in the lives of the homeless in Los Angeles, California. We are driven to provide them with affordable housing, resources and anything that eventually makes a difference in their lives.
Who we are?
We are a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Christian-based group of individuals that work hands-on to better the lives of those living on the streets and in tents. We are a group of women who believe that in order to bring a positive change, one has to work towards it diligently. This concept has led Robin Desta, our founder, to establish Thy Refuge.
Holding a degree in political science, we feel that our politicians can certainly pass legislature that extends support to the homeless. We want to see real change, really happen. This begins now, with us.
What do we do?
Our team wholeheartedly is devoted to being a resource for the homeless population. Our staff members dedicate their time to make the lives of those homeless, a little bit easier. We pride ourselves on being able to bring even the slightest smile on their faces. We pray for them. We prepare meals for them; we supply clothes, blankets, socks, and other basic necessities they lack.
In addition to feeding and housing them, we invest in them; we let them know that we truly care. We tell them that we can help and that we are going to help. With God by your side, everything is possible.
