What We’re Building

The greatest commandment that God gives us in the bible is to love Him with all of our heart, body, and soul. We are also told to, “Love thy neighbor”. The homeless people of LA, are our neighbors.

We genuinely believe in this commandment and care about the homeless in Los Angeles. We are not just writing about it or talking about it. We don’t want attention for ourselves but we truly want someone else’s life to become better.

Thy Refuge has begun a social project that consists of building affordable housing for the homeless and container homes in Los Angeles, California. We are determined to end this epidemic of homelessness.

However, we know that working on solutions to the problems of homelessness does not only mean building homes; it goes much deeper. It means transforming their lives. From providing them with everyday necessities like food and clothes, to helping them find employment, we are there to assist. We believe that the small steps taken today to improve their lives will have a lifelong impact.

Let’s come together and build a more compassionate community.

Currently, we are looking at brick and mortar as well as container homes and communities or both. It is important to us that they are environmentally friendly and energy efficient.
